Looking Forward to Spring

With this blast of winter weather, we at 104-5 The Zone are surely looking forward to Spring. We’re not trying to rush through Hoops Madness and hockey, but we could use some warmer temps.

Here’s 5 Reasons we are Looking Forward to Spring:

1. Play Ball! April 17th will be here before we know it! The Nashville Sounds kick off the 2015 Season on Friday, April 17th at the brand new First Tennessee Park. Watch a video cam of First Tennessee Park being built here.

Looking for a great part-time summer job? Or maybe you have a high school or college student that you want to get out of the house this summer. The Nashville Sounds are hosting a job fair tomorrow from 4pm-7pm at Greer Stadium. Details at nashvillesounds.com.

2. Fore! With spring comes Golf Season. Alright, admit it – did you get out on the course earlier this month when we had 60 degree temps? I bet you did! If not, it had you dreaming about drivers, golf balls and hitting a hole in one! Our local guy, Brandt Snedeker had a great finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am earlier this month. And The Masters are just a few weeks away. Who will win the Green Jacket?

3. Who will the Titans draft? The NFL Draft is right around the corner as well. We are on the edge of our seat waiting to see who the Titans will draft. We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with Titans Radio coverage on 104-5 The Zone. We’ve got another post coming from Titans Radio Executive Producer, Rhett Bryan on who he hopes the Titans draft.

4. Break out the hats and bow ties! Have you already started planning your Derby and Iroquois Steeplechase attire? We are looking forward to the 104-5 The Zone tailgate at Iroquois Steeplechase again this year. We’re hoping to have a ticket link in the next few weeks.

5. Football is near. If your house is anything like mine, there are 2 seasons – football season and looking forward to football season. May will bring us to SEC Spring Meetings in Destin, FL where we will hear about the teams and the excitement for the season. We’re already planning a big party with our friends from the Nashville Sports Council for September 5th when UT kicks off the season at LP Field vs. Bowling Green.

Bonus – The Nashville Predators are having an AMAZING season. We are proud of this team and all they have (and continue to) accomplish! If you need to be reminded of the cold temps of #icepocalyse, visit Smashville!
